Compass Executives were engaged by August Equity backed Esland Care to source an experienced Chief People Officer for the business, to mature the HR capability in line with the rapid scaling-up of the business.

Given the varying support offered by Esland Care – chiefly complex needs of children and young adults’ specialist care – it was imperative for the successful candidate to have a similar background. As such, Compass Executives undertook a focussed, research-based search, also drawing upon our market knowledge and network of experienced HR Directors within the specialist care sector.

A three stage interview process, including validation by the Investor, was completed which resulted in a first-time appointment within 4 weeks of the process commencement.

Compass Executives were mandated by Purple – the industry’s leading organisation acting as a catalyst for change in creating opportunities that transform futures by bringing together disabled people and business for a single purpose – to secure a critical MD / CEO designate hire.

Purple were looking to have secured an outstanding leader in less than eight weeks – owing to a number of internal changes which included seeing the Founder and CEO moving into an internal role with Opco business, CareTech Holdings PLC.

Following a three-stage process, an exceptional candidate was appointed into the business first-time.

Compass Executives were mandated by EnableAll – an early-stage start-up dedicated to creating an e-Commerce platform designed to change how the online marketplace is accessed – to source a CEO-designate for the company.

The success candidate would need to be highly technically literate in order to present in clear terms to the Board the progress for the platform’s development; act in an advisory and operational leadership capacity and be commercially savvy.

Following a three-stage interview process, which included a meeting with the Board of Opco, CareTech Holdings PLC, the successful candidate was appointed first-time.

Compass Executives were mandated by Clearbrook Capital Partners to source a replacement Chief Executive Officer for their portfolio business, Integrum Care Group – as the Founding Chief Executive was moving into a Non-Executive Director position.

Owing to a previously failed search, Clearbrook needed an executive search firm who had the knowledge and network to deliver a replacement at pace – given the lost time.

The successful candidate would be responsible for leading the business through a medium term refinance, before then leading the ensuing investment cycle – therefore must have had prior Private Equity exposure within an Elderly Care environment.

Compass Executives were appointed by Schoen Clinic to source a UK based Finance Director to be responsible for overseeing all UK operations, along with leading on all aspects of financial performance based on the planned, and anticipated, growth – in line with the wider business strategy.

Compass Executives were able to draw upon the extensive network of finance professionals to identify a shortlist of candidates who were all invited to interview when the shortlist was presented to the Board. The ensuing process saw a preferred candidate unanimously identified, with an offer extended and accepted to said candidate, who then was able to start in a timescale of less than 5 weeks after the initial approach was made by Schoen Clinic to Compass Executives.
