Amplo Biotechnology is a newly formed Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV) company for congenital myasthenia syndrome (CMS) and general myasthenia. Compass Executives have recently appointed a CMO to begin critical work on Amplo’s first preclinical project (AAV9-DOK7).

Owing to Compass Executives’ Life Sciences Practice’s outstanding network, the team were able to introduce an interim CMO whilst a concurrent process was being run in the background to source a full time Chief Medical Officer.

Compass Executives partnered with Octopus Healthcare to source two Board hires in the form of a Chief Executive Officer, and a Finance Director, for their retirement communities business; Rangeford Villages.

Compass Executives were appointed to source a new Chief Operating Officer for Signature Senior Lifestyle – owned by Rivera Living. The new COO would be responsible for all aspects of operations, to lead the business through the next stage of its development plans.

Compass Executives were mandated by the largest publicly listed and most innovative Biopharma, Hengrui Therapeutics, to source a Vice President, Head of European Research Centre, Biologic Drug Discovery for the business. With more than 30,000 employees globally, including in excess of 3,200 scientists worldwide, Hengrui Therapeutics hosts the discovery R&D units focusssing on protein engineering on new mRNA technology platforms, and have a pipeline of 30 global programmes in clinical development across oncology, anaesthesiology pain management, autoimmunity, and CVMD’s.

Given the complexity of the role a highly respected candidate was required with entrepreneurial and hands-on expertise to proactively establish a new laboratory from scratch and build out a new team (20-30 scientists), to be based in Zurich.

Compass Executives were engaged by specialist care (children’s and adults) charity, Norwood, to source a business critical interim HR Director for the business, who would be responsible for transforming the human resources offering within the business.

Given the variety of support offered by Norwood – on both a children’s and adult basis – there was a key requirement to source an emotionally intelligent, people focussed HR professional capable of managing and overhauling the human resource function.

Compass Executives were able to deliver an interim HR Director solution in a timescale of less than 4 weeks, which included a three-stage process with the successfully appointed candidate made first time.
