Board Advisory Services
Compass Executives are often brought in by Clients to provide strategic consultation in relation to Board restructuring, new service set-up or salary bench-marking. We use psychometric tests and in-depth interviews with team members to identify strengths and weaknesses, identifying opportunities to develop people and gaps where new talent is required.
Working in parallel to our sister company, Compass Associates’ contacts, we are able to offer Clients deal origination services to assist with potential acquisitions. Compass Associates are the largest provider of staff to the Private Sector, and work with the largest cross-section of SMEs, Family Owned, Privately Backed businesses – which can result in us advising – particularly Private Equity Investors – what good acquisitions could add real value.
Utilising our industry knowledge, our network of contacts and database we are able to introduce like-minded talented individuals. This is typical for PE Houses and VC’s who may well be looking to invest in a NewCo, have new funds or are in acquisition mode and require a certain type of person to facilitate this.
As part of our process, every candidate is the subject of a reference check that includes:
- Speaking formally to named referees;
- Speaking informally to unnamed referees and business contacts that we have identified using our extensive internal database and high-end network
- The reference is summarised and included in the synopsis that clients receive for each candidate, providing further insights into the candidate’s management style and capabilities not always possible to uncover in interview.
