Interim HR Director

Compass Executives were engaged in the services of a full executive search by specialist care charity provider, Norwood, who were looking to secure an interim HR Director as quickly as possible.

Given the long-standing relationship between Compass Executives and Norwood – which included multiple senior appointments at operational level – as well as the strong understanding of the business as a whole, the strategic direction of the charity, and the evidenced track record in filling senior corporate services mandates, Compass Executives were an obvious choice for the hire.

Norwood were looking for an exceptional candidate with strong emotional intelligence, preferably in-sector experience, and a track record of delivery in Human Resources – as the managing of “people” was a critical function of the role. This was a critical hire for the business, and were looking to appoint the incumbent in less than a month from signing off the brief.

A shortlist of suitable candidates was presented to the Board, all of whom fulfilled their key requirements; followed by a three-stage process. The successfully identified candidate was offered, had accepted and started in less than the 4 week timescale indicated by Norwood – and has already made an immediate impact to the business.
