Compass Executives were mandated by the Homecare Association (formerly UKHCA) – the UK’s most respected membership body for homecare providers – in the recruitment of a number of Director level positions for the business: Communications, Campaigns & Marketing Director; Policy, Practice & Innovation Director, and a Director of Finance & Corporate Services.

Owing to long-standing sector relationships with members of the Homecare Association, as well as established rapports with its leadership team, Compass Executives were mandated on three separate critical hires for the organisation.

The Homecare Association were undergoing a transitional phase in their history – including a significant re-brand, organisational restructure, strategic realignment and the scaling up of the organisation, and as such, sought an executive search partner who would be able to identify and introduce three key hires. As a result, Compass Executives produced an entirely new search from scratch, undertaking rigorous market-mapping services to identify the most appropriate profiles to match a very detailed brief.

During the search process, the team were involved in close client consultation to support the best possible overview of the opportunity owing to the re-brand, and as such worked in partnership with the Homecare Association to position each opportunity accordingly. This meant candidates were given full transparency into the insight, challenges and opportunity for each opening.

The average time to hire – from being mandated the assignment through to offer acceptance – did not exceed eight weeks, with the process involving a three stage interview. First time appointments were made, and all appointees have made an immediate impact to the business.
