Director of Finance and Corporate Services

As a result of multiple placements made as a senior level with Cruse, Compass Executives were engaged in the services of recruitment for a Director of Finance and Corporate Services. The outgoing Finance Director was retiring, and as a result, were in need of a leader who had experience of Finance at a high level, as well a demonstrable track record in digital transformation, including an overhaul of internal infrastructure.

Compass Executives had recently completed a number of senior appointments specifically requiring a dual Finance and Corporate Services leader with a Charity background, and as such, were able to provide a shortlist of 6 candidates within 3 weeks of being engaged in the search. Four introduced candidates were interviewed, with 4 candidates invited back to for a second stage, before two candidates were given a Finance task to complete as part of a final stage arrangement, including meeting the Trustees.

There was unanimous agreement from the decision-markers in terms of the candidate they wanted to assume the role of Director of Finance and Corporate Services, with the appointment completed in a timescale of less than 6 weeks.
