About our Client

Our client is the market leader in consumer healthcare, bringing together a team of over 500 dedicated healthcare professionals across the UK. The organisation is PE-backed by an established investment company specialising in healthcare investment business.

About the COO Role

The COO will direct and oversee the operational activities of the organisation. The role will provide leadership, vision, and strategic planning for all areas in Operations and across all areas which influence overall business performance.  The role will initially require focus on establishment of the senior operational leadership team, and robust systems and processes to manage day-to-day operations and deliver exceptional results.

Skills/Experience Required

• Previous experience in a Senior leadership or C-suite role determining and demonstrating successful delivery against business strategy.
• Experience of significant sales growth/low-margin business.
• Experience with a Healthcare organisation is preferential, but not essential – exposure to shared service or contact centre business models very much is essential.
• Strong communicator who can explain financial matters to non-financially literate staff.
• Ability to challenge the status quo and drive change.
• Proven ability to prioritise in a fast-moving environment and handle ambiguity.
• High level of attention to detail, and proven ability to problem solve accounting matters.
• Experience in highly regulated environments.
