22 Sep 2019

Honesty, transparency and exceptional standards of integrity are at the heart of the company core values, and as a result, Compass Executives are proud to showcase the results of the 2018/19 Financial Year (April 2018 – March 2019).

Headline Numbers

The team assisted a record 78 mandates across the course of the last twelve months, of which 36 were in the healthcare space, and 42 within social care. 98.7% of the candidates placed are still in post.

Of the completed mandates, there were 6 Chief Executive Officers placed by the Private Sector and Not For Profit Sector teams, 14 Chief Operating Officer or Managing Director’s, 4 Chief Financial Officer and Finance Director roles completed, as well as 4 Non-Executive Director placements made – which includes Chair positions.

Outside the typical C-suite appointments, there were also Board level hires made within Quality, and within HR, as well as a number of Hospital Director placements made – both Private Acute and Mental Health.

Gender Balance

Out of the 78 total placements across the health and social care sectors, 54% of mandates completed by Compass Executives were women into leadership roles, and half of all placements made at Chief Executive level were women.

When breaking down the placements by dedicated sector practice, 49% of all Private Sector hires completed were women, compared to 77% of the Not For Profit Sector Practice’s successfully completed mandates.

Feedback

As part of a continuous improvement ideology, and a belief that there is always the opportunity to better ourselves, Compass Executives conduct both candidate and client feedback calls to ascertain our performance on an assignment, to take on board how we can perform better in future mandates. We are delighted to share that the Net Promoter Score based on these calls was 100% for both stakeholders.

Some of the most frequently described words used to describe the Compass Executives performance were “supportive”, “professional” and “genuine” during the interviews, and both clients and candidates alike have cited industry knowledge, exceptional levels of communication and unparalleled understanding of the health and social care sectors as key distinguishing features.

Looking ahead: 2019/20

As a result of the increased demands on the services of Compass Executives, the business is delighted to announce the strengthening of the team with 4 hires made into the Finance Practice (Private Equity markets), Not For Profit Sector Practice, and two Researchers to continue to identify the emerging talent.

Much of the above is attributable to Compass Executives’ willingness to attend all relevant industry events to develop in-depth understandings of the issues facing our clients and candidates, as well as being able to contribute at the highest level based on our market-leading sector knowledge, network depth and track record.
