HR Director

Compass Executives were engaged by European Investment House, G Square Capital, to secure an HR Director for their dedicated ophthalmic portfolio business, CHEC (Community Health Eye Care) – in April 2021.

Owing to the long-standing and highly successful relationship between Compass Executives and G Square, the team quickly understood the profile of the candidate which would appeal to both the investor, and also the wider business at CHEC.

Compass Executives were able to run an accelerated process owing to the Corporate Services Practice’s established network of senior HR professionals, alongside an in-depth market-mapping research project to identify candidates coming from outside of the immediate Healthcare space, with a transferable skillset.

A shortlist was presented with 6 candidates closing meeting the brief – with G Square requesting interviews with all identified candidates. Owing to global circumstances, initial calls were conducted via video calls, before a second stage involved a face-to-face meeting with the Chief Executive. The identified candidates invited to the third and final stage were asked to make a presentation to the current leadership team and investors, before the offer was extended and accepted first time.
