Community Housing and Therapy (CHT) is a leading provider of Psychologically Informed Recovery Communities – ‘where relationships are the treatment’. CHT works with adults and young people who have challenging and complex presentations, many of whom have diagnoses of personality disorders or psychoses, and who have experienced negative childhood experiences or trauma, within a psycho-developmental framework in order to create an environment where the individual needs are met to enhance development, health and well-being, with the aim of enabling them to lead successful and productive lives.
CHT is passionate about providing high quality developmental support to young persons and adults experiencing mental distress and complex psychosocial disorders. They have a strong sense of values, a clear treatment and support model based on relational psychology, client participation and recovery, a strong training programme and ethos, and a highly supportive clinical and management framework.
With the retirement of key Trustees later this year, CHT is looking for up to 4 exceptional individuals with appropriate backgrounds to join the Board and offer their expertise, sound judgment, objectivity and a strong commitment to team work. A commitment to the aims and objectives of CHT, notable creating an environment in which people experiencing mental distress can go on to achieve their potential in life.
CHT are particularly keen to hear from senior individuals who can offer significant professional standing in the fields of:
- Professional experience of senior financial management and charity finance, ideally although not essentially, with an added understanding of investment management and grant giving
- Charity governance with a clear understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship
- Leader in business who would like to make a significant contribution to the work the organisation undertakes
